How does this work ?

This page decrypts and encrypts your Text with the military grade AES encryption algorithm using this Javascript Library.

All encryption is done on your computer, not on a remote server, so your text is as safe as your password, which is never transmitted anywhere by this page.

You can easily integrate this encryption service into Firefox using the CryptFire Extension for Firefox

How does the decryption link work ?

We create a prettly long link at a http://cryptfire.com/ address. This long link is then shortened by the popular tinyurl service to something you can easily integrate into blog posts, twitter messages, emails or whatever you like. Only the encrypted text is sent to the tinyurl service, so as long as your password is secure, your secret text should be secure as well.

How does the hide in text method work ?

The text is not only encrypted, but also encoded as seemingly random text. For details on how this works, see here
